Jeep Safari In Tadoba

If you are the traveler that wants close exposure to wonders of the jungle, jeep safari is optimum for you. It is also best suited for those travelling in small groups of friends or family. A four wheeler open gypsy will take you deep inside the forests. You can explore both the core and buffer tourist zones and enjoy the rich biodiversity. If you are keen on photographing the Royal Tigers from up close, jeep safari is the experience you want. Prepare to spot not just majestic tigers, but also several species of reptiles and mammals.

Canter Safari In Tadoba

If you are travelling in a large group or looking for a cost effective option, canter safari is for you. This is an open big bus that can accommodate upto 22 people with 2 tour guides. However, Canter Safari is available only at the Moharli Gate of Tadoba. Since it is the preferred choice for many tourists, book your canter safari well in advance to avoid any last minute troubles. Expect to be surprised by vibrant avifauna and beautiful butterflies.

Best Time to Visit

Winter (November to February)

The most comfortable time to visit Tadoba. The cool weather makes safaris enjoyable, and you can often see tigers and other animals basking in the mild sun. Ideal for wildlife viewing and photography.



Summer (March to June)

Though hot, summer is the best time for tiger sightings. Animals gather near waterholes, giving you excellent chances to spot tigers and other wildlife up close.



Monsoon (July to September)

The park remains closed during heavy rains. This season helps the forest revive and flourish, making Tadoba green and full of life when it reopens in October.

What documents are required for safari booking?

A valid government ID proof (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License) is required for all visitors at the time of booking and during entry at the park gate.

How many types of safaris are available in Tadoba?

Tadoba offers Jeep Safaris, Canter Safaris, and Night or Buffer Zone Safaris. Jeep safaris are perfect for smaller groups, while canters are shared and suitable for larger groups.

When does Tadoba National Park open for visitors?

The park is open from 1st October to 30th June every year. Core zones remain closed during the monsoon (July–September), but buffer zones are open for limited safaris.

How many safaris can I do in one day?

You can book two safaris per day one in the morning and one in the evening. Visitors can choose different zones for each safari.

Can I select a specific safari zone while booking?

Yes, you can choose from zones like Moharli, Kolara, Khutwanda, Pangdi, and Zari, depending on availability. It’s best to book early to secure your preferred zone.

Is it possible to modify or cancel a booking?

Changes are not allowed after confirmation. Cancellations follow the park’s refund policy, with deductions based on how early the cancellation is made.

Are mobile payments or UPI accepted for online booking?

Yes, the official booking website accepts payments through UPI, credit/debit cards, and net banking for easy transactions.
