The main reason why Moharli is so popular because it has been known to have the most frequent and most amazing tiger sightings. There are many tigers found in zone, which means that if you visit this place, you will likely see these big cats in their natural habitat.

However, the charm of Moharli does not stop at just tigers. Leopards also live here along with different kinds of deer, sloth bears, hyenas, wild boars, and langurs among other animals.

Planning Your Trip to Moharli

In total there are 32 safaris conducted daily through Moharli Gate during two sessions – morning and evening. It is recommended to go for an early morning safari as big cats tend to be more active when it’s cooler. In order to not be disappointed it’s advisable to book your safari well in advance especially during peak season.

When to visit Moharli

The best time to visit Moharli Gate to maximize your chances of spotting a tiger is during the summer (March – May). However, if you prefer pleasant weather and don’t mind the possibility of fewer tiger sightings, then winter (November – February) or post-monsoon (October & November) could be good options as well.
